Octavian Traian Loghin (1933-1994) – jurist, university professor

He graduated from Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi High School of Rădăuţi (1952). Bachelor of the Faculty of Law, Iasi (1956). Doctor of the Faculty of Law, University of Iasi with the thesis “Liability of Romanian Minors in Criminal Law” (1970). Specialization studies at the Institute of European Studies of Torino (1966). Graduate of the 18th International Course on Criminology held in Belgrad (1968). Specialization studies at the Institute of Criminal Law of the University of Lublin (1975). Dean of Faculty of Law in Iasi (1972-1976, 1976-1978). Vice Rector of the University of Iasi (1978-1981). Scientific Secretary of the Senate of the University of Iasi (1981). Teaching Assistant at the Department of Theory of State and Law (1956-1957). Teaching Assistant at the Department of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law, Iasi (1957-1961). Substitute lecturer (1961-1969), lecturer (1969-1972), associate professor (1972-1978) and professor (1978-1994) at the Department of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law, Iasi.

His legal studies include numerous articles on the forms of criminal culpability, criminal liability of minors, criminal justice report, criminal liability, the legal content of certain crimes. Author of several university courses: Course on Criminology and Penitentiary Science (two volumes, 1970-1971), Criminal Law. The Special Part (three volumes, 1974-1978), Criminal Law. The Special Part (in collaboration, 1983), Criminal Law. The Special Part (in collaboration, 1994). He contributed to the dictionary Forensic Medicine. Definitions and Interpretation (1986).
