The International Students Festival will consist of workshops/sessions covering several themes.

Main conference themes:

Theme 1: Students’ aspirations with regard to employability and challenges on the labor market

Topics:

  1. Challenges faced by the European youth with regard to employability;
  2. Examples of good practice and ways in which universities support the labor market integration of youth;
  3. Development of the educational offer so as to meet students’ employability needs;
  4. Solutions for universities to support the labor market integration of youth.

Theme 2: Life of students’ associations

Topics:

  1. Ways of cooperation between students’ associations and universities;
  2. Examples of good practice with regard to the way in which students’ associations are represented and involved in university decision-making;
  3. The main trends on which certain associations and organizations will focus their activity in the (near) future;
  4. Opportunities of cooperation among associations from different universities/countries;
  5. Current challenges faced by students’ associations nowadays.

Participants interested to make a presentation are kindly asked to send the title of the presentation and a 250-word abstract via e-mail by 15 September 2010 at the latest to oana.chisalita@uaic.ro .

During the communication sessions, speakers will be granted 15 minutes. Papers will have to be sent via e-mail to oana.chisalita@uaic.ro by 15 October 2010. After the conference, papers will be reviewed, invited to publication in the electronic proceedings of the festival and then published Papers must be no more than 5 pages long including references, tables and figures.

Language

English will be the working language of the festival. As a participant, it is therefore important that you have sufficient knowledge of both oral and written English.
